Problems are easier to solve when they don't include pesky decimals and/or fractions. Do the following to clear problems of these pesky coefficients:- Decimals - multiply every term by the same multiple of ten (10, 100, 1000, ...).
- Fractions - multiply every term by the least common denominator. (Section 11.8).
